Signage Will Communicate Options to Motorists

 
 
  1. Goals of the signage program
    • To communicate roadway options to motorists.
    • To utilize the existing roadway network more efficiently by:
      • Diverting thru traffic away from project area via the Route 1 Corridor
      • Streamlining traffic that will use Byberry Road to points west
    • To work in conjunction with ITS - Intelligent Transportation Systems and deliver the best combination of signage system to the motorists.
  2. The following sign images will help you visualize how the Route 1 Alternative will communicate to motorists.
  3. This signage program will work in conjuction with other proposed improvements and is a critical component in this alternative.
